WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will be defending the title against Bayley in a ladder match at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event.
Belair would open the September 26th Raw, accompanied to the ring by Asuka and Alexa Bliss. The champion was quickly interrupted by Damage CTRL, where Bayley turned her attention to The EST. Bayley stated on the September 19th Raw that she wanted a shot at the title, as Bayley was the one who pinned Belair at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event.
Banca Belair stated that she was at the top of her game before Bayley was side-lined, and the last time that they met in the ring in a singles match, Belair was victorious. Bayley would then up the ante and lay down the challenge for a ladder match for the title, which Belair would accept.
It should be noted that Bayley was due to face Belair back in 2021 at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event in an “I Quit” match. However, due to Bayley getting injured while training to return, the match did not take place.
The updated line-up for Extreme Rules is as follows:
- Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle – Fight Pit match.
- Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey – Extreme Rules match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
- Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross – Strap match.
- Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley – Ladder match for the Raw Women’s Championship.
- Edge vs. Finn Balor – “I Quit” match
