The Fight Pit stipulation will be making its main roster debut at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event, as Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle will battle inside the cage on Saturday October 8th.

Rollins would challenge United States Champion Bobby Lashley for the title on the September 19th episode of Raw. When Rollins was in control of Lashley, Matt Riddle’s music would hit and The Original Bro would make his way to ringside. The distraction would be enough to cost Rollins, as Lashley would hit a spear to win the match and retain the title.

Later in the show, both Riddle and Rollins were seen being held back by WWE Officials. Rollins stated that Riddle man have a rematch, and to name the place and the conditions. The Original Bro would respond by challenging The Visionary to a match under Fight Pit Rules at Extreme Rules, which Rollins accepted.

The Fight Pit match has taken place once in NXT, which saw Matt Riddle take on Timothy Thatcher and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle being the special guest referee. The match was won by Thatcher.

The updated line-up for Extreme Rules is as follows:

• Liv Morgan (c) vs. Ronda Rousey – Extreme Rules match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
• Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle – Fight Pit Rules match.
