WWE Confirms Broadcast Future Of Raw For Final Quarter Of 2024

WWE Raw

WWE Raw will remain on the USA Network for the rest of the year.

At the start of the year, it was announced that the flagship show would be moving to Netflix beginning January 2025 in what was a historic deal for the company. While many were excited about the news and what it would mean for the future of the show, many pointed out that Raw’s deal with the USA Network ends in October 2024, meaning that there was a possible 3-month gap to fill. With Netflix not agreeing to the partnership earlier and it seemingly unlikely that another network would only take the show on for 3 months, there was a lot of uncertainty and even talks of the show going on a brief hiatus. However, according to a new filing, the question has finally been answered.

In TKO’s Q1 earnings report, it is revealed that NBCUniversal has agreed to extend the show on their network for the rest of the year at a cost of $25 million:

WWE entered into a long-term media rights agreement with Netflix for Raw beginning in January 2025; subsequently, WWE entered into a $25 million domestic media rights agreement with NBCUniversal for Raw to remain on USA Network for the fourth quarter of 2024

As noted by Brandon Thurston, the deal is a steal for NBCUniversal as based on the current deal the 3-month extension would be valued at $66 million.

Both WWE Main Roster Programmes To Be Briefly On The Same Network

With SmackDown moving to the USA Network from FOX in October 2024, both Raw and SmackDown will both be broadcast on the same channel for the final 3 months of 2024.
