Gamers will soon be able to play WWE 2K25 on the go as the latest instalment of the franchise will be coming to Nintendo Switch in a few weeks.
As announced via press release on July 1, which was sent to Features of Wrestling, July 23 will be the official release of 2K25 with the standard, Bloodline and Deadman editions all available to pre-order now. 2K also promises that the game will have the full set of game modes and match types, and will also support online play, allowing users to play the game with no internet connection.
On top of the stacked roster and Bloodline showcase mode, the newly introduced Island feature will also be on the Switch version, which is also available on PlayStation and Xbox. Additionally, those who order the deluxe editions will also gain access to the DLC packs that have already been released, along with future packs that will become available later in the year.
WWE 2K18 was previously released on the first Switch console, but was plagued with technical issues and garnered unfavourable reviews from critics. Aside from the spinoff game WWE 2K Battlegrounds, no other WWE games were released for the Nintendo Switch.
During the 2K Games portion of the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation, it was announced that a WWE game was coming to the console, but o further information was provided. Given the previous limitations of Nintendo consoles, some had suspected that a reduced version of the game may have been the end product, as opposed to the full version that is seen on PC and other consoles.
