It’s time to give The Devil his due, as MJF is now officially the longest-reigning AEW World Champion.
Having held the title for 347 days, MJF has now surpassed the previous record set by Kenny Omega at 346 days, guaranteeing that the record would be broken by defeating Omega on the October 28th episode of AEW Collision.
MJF has acknowledged the record on social media, referencing how far he has come since first winning the title at Full Gear 2022:
At the stroke of midnight ill be the longest reigning world champion in AEW history.

MJF Reigns Supreme
Following the victory over Jon Moxley at Full Gear 2022, MJF appeared to be on a reign of terror, first attacking William Regal and doing whatever it takes to remain in possession of the Triple B.
Following a successful defence against Ricky Starks at AEW Winter Is Coming, the World Champion had one of the best Ironman matches in history at Revolution as he defeated Bryan Danielson in overtime.
Going on to defeat the other 3 pillars of AEW, MJF was at first reluctantly paired with Adam Cole. The unlikely partnership blossomed into the two becoming best friends, leading to MJF retaining the championship over Cole in the main event of All In, where 81,000 fans were in attendance.
