A title match, multiple number one contenders matches and more have been announced for WWE SmackDown.
On the first SmackDown after WrestleMania, two triple threat matches took place that saw AJ Styles and LA Knight be victorious. In a rematch from WrestleMania, Styles and Knight will face off once more. The winner will go on to Backlash on May 4th to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship.
At WrestleMania 40, the Tag Team Championships were split with The Awesome Truth capturing the Raw titles and A-Town Down Under capturing the SmackDown titles. A 4-way number one contenders match has been announced, where the winners will receive a future opportunity against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
Looking to be a fighting champion, new WWE Women’s Champion Bayley will put the title on the line on SmackDown. Bayley’s opponent will be Naomi.

- LA Knight vs. AJ Styles – The winner will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship at Backlash
- Bayley (c) vs. Naomi – Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
- The Street Profits vs. Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate vs. Angel & Humberto vs. The Authors of Pain – The winners will become the new number one contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships
