WWE SmackDown Preview July 4

The fallout from Night of Champions and more will take place on the July 4 WWE SmackDown.

Following the events that took place at the recent Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia, two matches are now set for SummerSlam as King of the Ring Cody Rhodes will challenge for the Undisputed Championship and Queen of the Ring Jade Cargill will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship. Both Rhodes and Cargill are scheduled to appear on the show.

Although Cargill has a match for the WWE Women’s Championship next month, currently held by Tiffany Stratton, Evolution takes place 3 weeks before on July 13. As Women’s World Champion IYO SKY got to choose her challenger for the all-women’s show, Stratton has been granted the same privledge.

Solo Sikoa shocked the world at Night of Champions as he defeated Jacob Fatu to become the new United States Champion thanks to an assist from the debuting Tala Tonga, previously known as Hikuleo. Expect to hear from Sikoa on the show.

It should also be noted that as the show is taking place on July 4, which is a national holiday in the United States, the show was pre-taped on June 30 after Raw went off the air. As such, SmackDown spoilers are available.
