A former WWE star who was part of one of the 2025 rounds of releases could become All Elite as there is said to be interest from rival promotion AEW.
Over the past 5 years, many wrestlers previously a part of WWE have gone on to sign with All Elite Wrestling as they have a national TV deal and are the second biggest company in the United States.
Back in February, former Women’s Tag team Champion Isla Dawn, 31, was among the names announced in that round of releases, ending her time in the company at 7 years. While Dawn is now a free agent as her non-compete has expired, the Scottish wrestler has yet to appear in another promotion, last in action on the February 2nd episode of WWE Speed. According to a new report, Dawn could be back on TV again very soon.
As reported by WrestleVotes, the former WWE star has gained interest from AEW, and could be working shows for the company very soon.
“We have learned through sources that AEW is heavily interested in recently released talent, Isla Dawn. So much so, according to one source, she was recently backstage at an AEW taping… the expectation is that she will begin working AEW shows in the very near future.”
During her time in WWE, Dawn predominantly teamed with Alba Fyre. Following Dawn’s release, Fyre was paired with Piper Niven as part of Chelsea Green’s Secret Hervice faction.
While this is only speculation, there is a possibility that if Dawn does sign with AEW, there is a chance that she could make her debut as a surprise entrant in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match, much like Ricochet did one year ago.
