More information has come to light regarding AJ Styles and the length of his contract with WWE.

Unlike most WWE stars, details on The Phenomenal One’s deal has been kept more secret. While Styles, 48, has previously stated that he will not wrestle past 50 years old, it remained unknown if that also coincided with his current contract. Styles made his return from injury at the Royal Rumble in 2025.

Although the specifics are still unknown, an interesting detail on the former WWE Champion’s deal has emerged. As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Selectsources familiar with the situation believe that Styles signed a one-year extension. The report adds that it is unknown when the extension would sign or when it would expire. However, as this would take Styles to 49, it could be the final contract he signs.

The report also references Styles previously stating that he wanted to retire as a WWE Superstar and that he did have conversations with The Young Bucks about potentially joining AEW, but talks never progressed further to the point of money.

What’s Next For AJ Styles In WWE?

Currently on Raw, Styles will be the next challenger for Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship. The match was originally set to take place at Night of Champions on June 28, but was pulled from the show as Mysterio suffered an injury, which was later reported to be in relation to his ribs. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has promised that Styles will still get his opportunity when Mysterio has fully recovered.
