Jade Cargill Wins Queen Of The Ring Tournament At WWE Night Of Champions

Jade Cargill is the new Queen of the Ring following her victory at WWE Night of Champions.

Competing at the Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Cargill defeated Asuka in the tournament final to win the accolade and advance to a title match at SummerSlam in August. The end of the match saw Cargill counter the Empress Attack into a Jaded onto The Empress to emerge as the victor. Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis presented Cargill with the crown after the match as pyro went off in the stadium.

After the match, Cargill spoke with Byron Saxton and warned that a storm is coming at SummerSlam.

Cargill defeated Roxanne Perez in the semi-finals of the tournament and Asuka defeated former tag team partner Alexa Bliss.

Per the stipulations of the tournament, Cargill will now face the Women’s Champion at SummerSlam, which is currently Tiffany Stratton. On the go-home SmackDown the previous night, Stratton defeated Nia Jax in a last woman standing match to keep hold of her title. Miss Money in the Bank Naomi also tried to interfere, but was neutralised by Stratton.

Earlier in the night, Cody Rhodes defeated Randy Orton to become the new King of the Ring, also earning his own title match at SummerSlam, likely against John Cena.
