A title match and more have been announced for WWE SmackDown.
At WrestleMania 40, Bayley became the new WWE Women’s Champion by defeating Iyo Sky. In her first defence since becoming champion, Bayley will face off against Naomi on SmackDown.
On the April 12th broadcast, AJ Styles and LA Knight each won their respective triple threat matches. In a rematch from WrestleMania, Knight and Styles will face off once more. The winner will go on to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship at Backlash.
On the April 15th episode of Raw, R-Truth and The Miz were given new Tag Team Championships and will be known as the World Tag Team Champions moving forward. While not announced, expect SmackDown Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller to be also presented with new championships.
The Following Matches & Segments Have Been Announced For WWE SmackDown:
- LA Knight vs. AJ Styles – The winner will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship at Backlash
- Bayley (c) vs. Naomi – Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
- The Street Profits vs. Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate vs. Angel & Humberto vs. The Authors of Pain – The winners will become the new number one contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships
