A title match, Roman Reigns returned and more took place on the March 2 episode of WWE Raw.
Following Elimination Chamber, which saw Randy Orton and Rhea Ripley secure their title matches for WrestleMania, Raw continued the build to the biggest show of the year as Roman Reigns made his return once more to confront World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Additionally, Gunther faced Dragon Lee, and Dominik Mysterio put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Penta.
New singee Danhasuen also appeared on Raw following his debut at Elimination Chamber.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves were on commentary for the show.
WWE Raw Results March 2:
- Following a recap of Elimination Chamber, The Vision and Paul Heyman appeared live to officially kick off the show. Adam Pearce interrupted with security and said he needed to have a conversation with Rollins as he was not medically cleared. Masked decoys caused The Vision to flee through the crowd, leaving Heyman alone. Seth Rollins appeared, and hit Heyman with a steel chair and a stomp.
- Gunther defeated Dragon Lee.
- AJ Lee appeared live to celebrate her Women’s Intercontinental Championship win. Lee promised to be a fighting champion and would defend it the next time she was in the ring.
- “The Original” El Grande Americano defeated Rayo.
- Rusev climbed on the announce table to call out Oba Femi. The two brawled with Femi getting the upper hand.
- Lyra Valkyria was seen speaking backstage with Bayley, looking to guarantee her tag partner a match at WrestleMania. Valkyria said she would campaign for Bayley to face AJ Lee, but IYO KY was seen exiting Adam Pearce’s office, and stared down Bayley.
- Jimmy Uso vs. Austin Theory ended in DQ when Logan Paul got involved. Jey Uso made his reutrn to equalise.
- Danhausen was seen backstage with Adam Pearce and demanded a blimp, a Hall of Fame induction and a Triple H pointing photo. Danhausen then met The Judgment Day and cursed Dominik Mysterio.
- Rhea Ripley appeared live, and thanked IYO SKY for helping her out of a dark place. Ripley promised to win the WWE Women’s title from Jade Cargill.
- Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
- CM Punk had another confrontation with Roman Reigns in the main event. Reigns said Punk came back to appease the “30-40 year-old virgins living in their parents’ basements.” Punk also got personal, reminding Reigns that he no longer had backup and promised to bury Reigns next to his dead father.
