Penta has won his first championship in WWE as he defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Title.
The match took place on the March 2 episode of WWE Raw, with Finn Balor being a major factor in the finish. Mysterio demanded that Balor and McDonagh hand him the ring bell hammer at ringside. McDonagh went for the weapon, but Balor stopped him, telling McDonagh that Mysterio needed to do this one on his own. Penta took out The Judgment Day with a dive and hit Mysterio with a Mexican Destroyer to win the match and the championship.
Prior to the match, The Judgment Day met with Danhausen backstage, who officially introduced himself to Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. After making reference to Mysterio’s IC title, and being denied the opportunity to touch it, Danhausen put a curse onto Mysterio.
Penta Wins Championship In WWE
Penta captured his first title more than one year on from his Raw debut, which took place back in Janaury 2025. Mysterio won the Intercontinental Championship for a second time at Survivor Series when he defeated John Cena following interference from The Judgment Day and a returning Liv Morgan, who his Cena with a low blow shortly before the finish.
The victory by Penta brings Mysterio’s reign to an end at 93 days.
