WWE Raw Live Results June 8: Penta Defends The Intercontinental Championship

Penta puts his Intercontinental Championship on the line against one of his idols, King and Queen of the Ring continues and more on the June 8 WWE Raw.

Following a backstage interaction with Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on last week’s show, Penta agreed to put his Intercontinental Championship at stake against a man he idolised growing up. This will be the first of 2 title matches set for the show, as new Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca will defend her title against Lyra Valkyria. This will be Ruca’s first televised defence since winning the gold at Clash in Italy.

As the show is airing live from Paris, France, Raw has an earlier start time. The show starts at 8 pm local time, which will be 7 pm in the UK, 2 pm for the US East Coast, and 11 am for the US West Coast.

WWE Raw Live Results June 8:

  • Oba Femi officially kicked off the show. After promising to become the next King of the Ring, Femi stated that it was not a prediction; that was a spoiler. Femi said he was also coming for an extra trophy: which was Brock Lesnar’s head. Dominik Mysterio interrupted to say Femi was overlooking him, but he was silenced by the “Oba” chants from the Paris crowd. Mysterio then told Femi to bend the knee and respect him. JD McDonagh tried to hit Femi with a chairshot, but Femi punched McDonagh. Femi then told Mysterio he had made a mistake and threatened Mysterio.
  • Seth Rollins was interviewed backstage to say he was coming for the title he never lost, the World Heavyweight Title currently held by Roman Reigns.
  • Liv Morgan defeated Chelsea Green, Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss to advance in the Queen of the Ring tournament.
  • Chad Gable apologised to Penta for everything he did as El Grande Americano.
  • Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso confronted Seth Rollins and Montez Ford. Rollins said he was not mad at them representing Roman, just disappointed. Jimmy told Fatu to get Rollins, but Fatu left instead.
  • Sol Ruca defeated Lyra Valkyria to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
  • LA Knight appeared live and spoke about winning King of the Ring. The fans chanted OTC, and Knight said that Reigns had pulled the wool over the fans’ eyes. Knight said that Reigns’ empire was on the verge of crumbling. Knight said he wasn’t following The Tribal Chief, but he is the chief! Knight claimed to be unchosen by management but chosen by the fans. Jey Uso interrupted. Jey did his entrance twice, of course he did. LA Knight cut it off. Uso also vowed to win King of the Ring. Knight tried to provoke Jey, but Jimmy broke things up.
  • Chad Gable continued his apology tour by speaking with Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix. They accepted the apology.
  • Penta defended the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio. Ethan Page and Rusev attacked both men after the match. Dragon Lee made the save for the babyfaces, but was also attacked. Chad Gable came to the aid of the luchadors.
  • Je’Von Evans defeated Seth Rollins, Talla Tonga and Ricky Saints to advance in the King of the Ring tournament. Ths Vision interfered, taking out Rollins to allow Evans to capitalise.
