WWE will be airing a rare Sunday Night’s Main Event special later in the year following updates to its Premium Live Event schedule.
During the June 8 broadcast of WWE Raw, the company announced that the special would take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on September 6. The event will mark the return of the special to Atlanta, which hosted Goldberg’s final match back in 2025.
The next Saturday Night’s Main Event special will take place on Saturday, July 18, at Madison Square Garden in New York, the spiritual home of WWE. No matches have been announced for this show at the time of writing. The next PLE on the WWE calendar will be Night of Champions on June 27. The show will see the 2026 King and Queen of the Ring winners determined. The winners of the tournaments will go on to receive title shots at SummerSlam.
Why Is WWE Holding A Sunday Night’s Main Event?
Earlier in the day, WWE announced that Money in the Bank had been moved away from its original air date, September 6, and will instead take place in October 10. Reportedly, the reason for the change was due to scheduling conflicts between networks. The change was said to be in the works for months, with Labor Day weekend also said to be a factor in the rescheduling.
