Sol Ruca finally picked up the win over Becky Lynch, winning the Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Italy in the process.
Competing in the penultimate match of the Turin Premium Live Event, Ruca hit the Sol Snatcher on The Man to pick up the win. Official Jessika Carr also played a factor into the match. Along with exiting the ring to avoid being struck, much to the annoyance of Lynch, the referee at one point was inadvertently shoved into the ropes. Ruca was knocked off balance in the process, giving Lynch a brief advantage.
In previous encounters, Ruca struggled to hit her finish. However, on May 31, the recent Raw call-up made it count to win the biggest match of her career so far. The defeat also brings Lynch’s third reign with the title to an end. Lynch won the gold at WrestleMania 42, finally picking up the win over long-time rival AJ Lee at the biggest show of the year.
