WWE Looking To Run Las Vegas WrestleMania More Regularly

First Match Confirmed For WWE WrestleMania 41

Expect WrestleMania to emanate from Las Vegas more often over the next few years following the recent news regarding the biggest show of the year.

On May 22nd, news broke that New Orleans was no longer the host city for WrestleMania 42 despite being officially announced by WWE earlier in the year. Following a brief period of uncertainty where Saudi Arabia and London were two of the most speculated locations, it was then revealed that the new frontrunner to host WWE’s landmark show would be Las Vegas, which served as the location for the 2025 event. Additionally, it was reported that the show would once again take place towards the end of April as opposed to the mid-April dates that were announced at the time.

The news shocked many fans, especially those who have pre-booked flights, accommodation and time off work to go to the show in 2026. In addition to this, there has been backlash ob the city being given the opportunity to host WrestleMania 2 years in a row. However, according to a new report, this could become more normal moving forward.

As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to have the show move location was because the Las Vegas show made so much money and this was not a figure that could be matched in New Orleans. It is also noted that the idea is to run the event in Sin City on a regular basis, stating that the plan is “not every year, but frequently.” The main reason for this is because Vegas is looking to host a major sporting event every year, meaning that if they are unable to secure the Super Bowl, The Final Four, or the College Football national championship final, Mania will likely come to Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. Vegas also now hosts an F1 Grand Prix weekend annually.

How Many Times Has Las Vegas Hosted WrestleMania?

The gambling capital of the world has previously hosted WrestleMania twice, Mania 9 in 1993 and Mania 41 in 2025.
