WrestleMania 42 WWE

A surprising favourite has emerged to be the host city for WrestleMania 42 following a shock update about the event.

On May 22nd, news broke that New Orleans would no longer host WrestleMania 42 despite being announced by The Rock earlier in the year. With the unprecedented report being confirmed by multiple outlets, the rumour mill went into overdrive regarding the location for the 2026 event, with heavy speculation leaning towards an international show in either Saudi Arabia or London. However, in a further update, the event is still scheduled to be in the United States.

WrestleMania 42 Rumoured To Be In Las Vegas

As reported by Anthony McAuley of NOLA.com, the 2026 show will return to Las Vegas, meaning that the city will host Mania for 2 years in a row:

“After the success of this year’s event, the new leadership running WWE decided that they would rather hold next year’s event in Las Vegas and see what response they get from fans, according to an industry official who wasn’t authorized to be quoted by name.“

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline also adds that the date is also set to change as Mania 42 is now reportedly scheduled to take place on April 18th and 19th, one week later than the announced dates for the New Orleans Mania.

It was also noted that while New Orleans will not be the host city for next year’s WrestleMania, they will host Money in the Bank and a future Mania as part of a larger agreement.

At the time of writing, there has been no official update from WWE regarding the recent developments.
