WWE Confirms Earlier Start Time For WrestleMania 42

WWE has now confirmed that WrestleMania 42 will have an earlier start time than previous iterations of the event.

In a graphic posted by Triple H on social media March 6, the 2-night Premium Live Event has a listed start time of 3 pm locally, which equates to 6 pm on the United States East Coast and 11 pm in the UK. The graphic also confirms that CM Punk vs. ROman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship will be the main event of the weekend.

Fans previously noticed that the event listed on WWE’s website had a start time of 2:30 pm local time, but this has since been corrected with the new graphic. The reason for the change is reportedly due to the company looking to ensure maximum viewership, especially in markets outside of the United States.

5 Matches Confirmed For WWE WrestleMania 42 As Earlier Start Time Set

With no more Premium Live Events set before WrestleMania 42, 5 matches are currently set for the biggest show of the year. The updated card is currently as follows:

  • CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns – Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship
  • Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton – Singles match for the WWE Championship
  • Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan – Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
  • Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley – Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
  • Brock Lesnar vs. opponent TBA

WrestleMania 42 will air live on ESPN in the United States and on Netflix internationally on Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19.
