WrestleMania 42 looks set to have a record number of women’s matches across the 2-day card.
As reported by Wrestlevotes Radio, it is being discussed by the company that at least 6 matches could be taking place at the biggest show of the year in April. It is also noted that at least 5 of the matches are firmly planned.
If this does take place, this would set a new record for the number of women’s bouts to take place on a Mania card. While the matches being discussed were ot revealed, it should be noted that there are currently 5 women’s championships active on the main roster:
- Women’s World Championship – Held by Stephanie Vaquer
- WWE Women’s Championship – Held by Jade Cargill
- Women’s Tag Team Championships – Held by Nia Jax and Lash Legend
- Women’s Intercontinental Championship – Held by AJ Lee
- Women’s United States Championship – Held by Giulia
2 Women’s Matches Currently Confirmed For WrestleMania 42
Now that the Women’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches have taken place, the top champions in WWE now know who they will be facing at the biggest show of the year in April.
The matches confirmed for Mania 42 are as follows:
- Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan – Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
- Jade Cargill (c) vs. Rhea Ripley – Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
