LA Knight Uncertain Of WrestleMania Plans

LA Knight Uncertain Of WrestleMania Plans

LA Knight has spoken about his plans for WrestleMania 42, or lack thereof at this time.

The former United States Champion is one of the top stars on Raw and was one of the entrants in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match at the eponymous Premium Live Event at the end of February. As Knight was unable to win the Chamber match, he will not fight for the WWE Championship at the biggest show of the year next month.

Although Knight has had some interactions with The Vision over the past few weeks, and helped Seth Rollins and The Usos get revenge on Paul Heyman on the March 2 Raw, there currently doesn’t appear to be a clear match for The Megastar at this time. According to Knight, he also doesn’t know who his opponent will be in Las Vegas.

Speaking on The Coach’s Corner, Knight admitted that right now he does not have any details regarding his Mania direction, but also acknowledged that it is the nature of the industry:

“Don’t worry about the details because I don’t have any. I know about as much as you know, and people find that hard to believe, but in all honesty, that’s just wrestling. […] I don’t know a lot, I’d like to know more, but it’s going to be a gigantic success.”

Knight also spoke about being given the opportunity to drive an ambulance on Raw, adding that a family member found it to be very enjoyable:

So my brother is a firefighter and an EMT, so I immediately get the text from him, ‘Oh you’re living out your dream.’ It was cool learning how to turn the sirens and the lights on. As soon as I got that thing on, the gas pedal was to the floor. The funny thing is I have now driven 2 vehicles prominently in that same arena, because that’s where I drove the Slim Jim car. Everyone was like ‘Oh there was a stunt driver.’ There was no room to switch seats, even without someone in the car, let alone a stunt driver.”

LA Knight Unsuccessful At WrestleMania 41

Six championships changed hands across WrestleMania 41 weekend. Unfortunately for Knight, he was one of the title changes as he lost the United States Championship to Jacob Fatu on night one of the show.

At Elimination Chamber, Knight caught the attention of fans for the wrong reason after he slipped while trying to execute his signature elbow drop. The following week, Logan Paul defended LA Knight over what happened on the show.
