WWE, AEW & TNA To All Hold Major Shows On June 28

June 28 is set to be a very busy day for pro wrestling fans as WWE, AEW and TNA are all set to host big events on the same night.

On June 2, Shawn Michaels announced that the Great American Bash would take place at the end of the month. No location was revealed during the announcement, meaning that it will likely take place at the WWE Performance Center. The show will be the first in a new agreement between NXT and the CW Network, which will see Premium Live Events air on the platform as well as weekly TV.

Prior to the NXT announcement, AEW announced that Forbidden Door would take place on the same night in San Jose, California. Both shows are scheduled to start at 7 pm, meaning that they will go head-to-head that night. The third show set for June 28 will be one of TNA’s biggest shows of the year, Slammiversary. However, unlike the NXT and AEW shows, Slammiversary is scheduled to have a 3 pm start time, meaning that there will be no competition from the other 2 promotions.

WWE Main Roster Stars Also Set To Be In Action On June 28 Weekend

The night before the trio of shows, WWE will present Night of Champions from Saudi Arabia, if the company feels it is safe to travel to the international show. While no matches are locked in at the time of writing, the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament are set to take place. The tournament remains ongoing, with Oba Femi and IYO SKY advancing to the next round.
