Two title matches and more will take place on the June 3 episode of AEW Dynamite as the road to Forbidden Door at the end of the month continues.
Following his big win at Double or Nothing, new World Champion MJF appeared live on the May 27 Dynamite to celebrate his third title reign. However, cutting the festivities short, Mark Briscoe and Rush both spoiled the party as they were looking for a title match. After being accused of not being a fighting champion, MJF agreed to put the title on the line against Rush, which is scheduled for Dynamite.
The Owen Hart Tournaments will also continue on the next episode of Dynamite. In the first semifinal match, Will Ospreay will face Mark Davis. Ospreay defeated Samoa Joe at Double or Nothing to advance, while Mark Davis defeated Jack Perry on Collision to make it to the next round.
In the women’s tournament, Alex Windsor will be in action against a wildcard following an unfortunate update. Windsor was originally set to face Willow Nightingale, but Nightingale was forced to withdraw due to injury. Nightingale also relinquished the TBS Championship as she will be sidelined until further notice.
After turning heel by attacking Darby Allin at Double or Nothing, TNT Champion Kevin Knight tried to explain his actions, but was interrupted by Mike Bailey. Following a war of words between both men, it was later announced that Knight would have to put the title on the line against his former friend next week.
