Both EVIL and Will Kroos have been repacked following their WWE NXT debuts.
On the May 5 broadcast, both of the recent arrivals once again made appearances on the show. For EVIL, the former IWGP World Champion made an appearance via video promo. After discussing his previous accomplishments in Japan, the promo concluded with the statement that EVIL would now be known as Naraku. Prior to NXT, Fightful Select reported that EVL’s new name would be Nox Raijin.
The man now known as Naraku arrived in WWE the previous week. Interrupting NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo, Naraku presented the champ with a box with the symbol for “war” written on top. With D’Angelo distracted, Will Kroos made his surprise debut to attack the champion.
Update On Will Kroos And New WWE Name
Also on the May 5 NXT, Will Kroos made another surprise appearance. Attacking D’Angelo for the second week in a row, the British wrestler stood tall before letting the fans know his WWE name moving forward:
“My name is Mason Rook, and I’ve arrived in NXT.”
Rook is best known for his time on the UK independents. Having appeared in promotions such as PROGRESS and Lincoln-based promotion Fight Factory Wrestling, the former Will Kroos also competed in Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan.
Kroos is a former FFW World Champion and PCW [Preston City Wrestling] Heavyweight Champion, among other accomplishments.
