Who Randy Orton Would Pick To Induct Him Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

Randy Orton has commented on a potential Hall of Fame induction and who he would have introduce him onto the stage for the big moment.

One of the most decorated athletes in WWE history and with a career spanning more than 20 years, the 14-time World Champion is a guaranteed headline induction into the Hall of Fame whenever the time comes. With a number of notable rivals and mentors over the course of his career, who would Orton choose to have the honour of officially inducting him into a future class?

Speaking with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Want To Talk About, Orton admitted that while he does not know for certain if the induction would happen, John Cena is his number one choice:

“I feel like if I’m lucky enough to be in the Hall of Fame, I would want it to be when things are settled and over. I feel like that’s how it has to come about. But as far as, gosh, I almost even don’t want to say because I feel like he’d hear this and then feel obligated, but maybe John [Cena].”

Elaborating on his choice, Orton recalled Cena’s induction of William Perry back at the 2006 Hall of Fame ceremony and how few could do it better if the time comes for his own recognition:

“So there’s a few reasons, selfishly, because I know that he would knock it out of the park. He’s done a few inductions Refrigerator Perry, the football player. I remember just being, and I don’t really follow sports, I wasn’t aware who that man was, but he’s in our Hall of Fame now. Cena inducted him, and just sitting there and watching John just do what he does like I was just completely captivated.

I know John could do me better justice than just about anybody, because John’s John. Of course, there’s other candidates, but I feel like John would be at the top of my list. But I almost hate even saying it out loud because I can’t imagine how busy that dude is with everything he’s got going on. I have a tendency to sell myself short, and I feel like maybe he would love to do it, but I don’t know that I could ask him, you know what I’m saying? And I almost don’t even want to think about it until that time comes, if it comes.”

Arguably Orton’s greatest rival, The Viper and Cena have gone to war many times over the course of their careers. Additionally, Orton is currently the fans’ number one choice for Cena’s final opponent in December 2025.
