Following his signing with AEW, will fans see Mick Foley wrestle one more time?
The Hardcore Legend officially became All Elite over the Double or Nothing weekend as he joined the pre-show panel alongside Renee Paquette. Involved in an angle on the kickoff portion of the show, Foley also met with MJF in the ring and was hit with a low blow by the 3-time AEW World Champion. Darby Allin made the save to close out the segment.
In previous interviews, the 60-year-old Hall of Famer has stated that he would be open to having one more match. According to the latest update from Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, Foley has made up his mind that he will wrestle again, and it will be with All Elite Wrestling. It is also believed that if Foley can get cleared, Tony Khan is very eager to book the match.
Who Would Mick Foley Wrestle In AEW?
Foley has history with many of the veterans in All Elite Wrestling. Along with a memorable feud with Adam Copeland/Edge that led to their hardcore match at WrestleMania, Foley has also been in the ring with Chris Jericho. Foley also teased a program with Jon Moxley when they were both signed to WWE, but the feud was ultimately nixed beginning with comments made by the former Dean Ambrose.
Ambrose made social emdia posts online about Foley and his family that the veteran was not comfortable with. While Foley messaged Ambrose to tell him to stop, Ambrose’s phone did not receive the messages as he was overseas. When Ambrose finally read the messages, the posts were deleted and Ambrose apologised as they were part of the storyline. While both men were still open to the match, Foley failed the impact test so was not cleared to compete.
When it comes to the most likely opponent, Foley has stated in interviews that he previously pitched a match and rivalry with MJF, which the Reigning World Champion is also open to.
