Live from Bologna, Italy, the June 5 WWE SmackDown will see the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments continue and more!
The King and Queen tournaments began on June 2. Oba Femi was the first to advance in the Men’s tournament, while IYO SKY was the first to advance in the Women’s tournament. More first-round matches are set to take place on SmackDown. Damian Priest, Trick Williams, Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker, Bayley, Jacy Jayne, Kiana James and Raquel Rodriguez are all looking to advance to the next round.
This will also be the first show following Clash in Italy. The WWE Championship match at the PLE ended controversially as Gunther was pinned despite having his foot under the bottom rope. It is expected that this will be addressed on the show. Additionally, WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill at the PLE, and will appear live to address what is next for her on the road to Night of Champions.
With the show taking place on the European tour, SmackDown will start at 8 pm local time. This will be 7 pm in the UK, 2 pm on the US East Coast and 11 am on the West Coast for those watching with a VPN. For those looking to watch the show in the United States via the more traditional format, the show will air on delay in the usual time slot.
