Triple H continues to tease the possibility of a future WrestleMania taking place in London.
Ever since John Cena made the surprise appearance at Money in the Bank and pleaded for a future WrestleMania to take place in the capital city, fans have been more hopeful than ever that it might finally happen. Optimism would only increase further when Mayor of London Sadiq Khan also declared that if he is re-elected on May 2nd he will also do all he can to host the event in the near future.
Although many are excited more the possibility of The Show of Shows coming to Europe for the first time ever, there is the matter of first announcing the location for the 2025 event. In an extremely rare move from the company, the location for WrestleMania 41 is still not known despite the fact that the event is less than a year away.
Responding to a fan question about WrestleMania 41 and the possibility of a London Mania in the future while appearing on an X space, Triple H said the following:
“Everybody is always excited to know where WrestleMania is going to be. WrestleMania 41 announcement coming very very soon, I promise that. Very very soon. As far as the following year, we shall see. The one thing about the global nature of what we do, to me, I don’t look at where we are or where we’re going, I just look at the globe. I think everything is on the table for where it goes.
You saw the Mayor of London put out a statement about WrestleMania. I said, ‘We should talk,’ and we should. As should the Mayor or the leaders of every other place around this globe. If you want WWE, come talk to us. We’re open for business, we’d love to be there. Wherever our fans are going to be the loudest and craziest and the most into what we do. Raw, SmackDown, a PLE, or WrestleMania itself. Obviously, the big ones are a little more difficult to execute, but let’s talk,”
Triple H Addresses Future Of WWE Speed
As part of WWE’s partnership with X, the inaugural Speed tournament has been taking place on the platform, which sees competitors fight it out in matches with a 3-minute time limit. With the finals of the men’s tournament set for May 3rd, the Chief Content Officer confirmed that a women’s tournament is set for the future:
“It comes from short-form content. If we could take that feeling out process that talent have in the ring with each other and just have them go for broke right when the bell rings because they only have three minutes to get the job done. It makes for an exciting challenge for the guys. It makes for an exciting challenge for eventually what will be the women as well. So far, it’s been spectacular. The talent have really embraced this and gotten into the challenge of it. It’s been exciting for them and our fans as well,”
