Drew McIntyre has confirmed that he will be staying with WWE for the foreseeable future.
News broke on April 27th and was announced by The Rock that Drew McIntyre had signed a new deal following months of reports stating that his contract was close to expiry, causing mass uncertainty among WWE fans. As McIntyre approached free agency, there were some that wondered if the 3-time World Champion may choose to not renew his contract and explore other opportunities.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, McIntyre once again confirmed that he would be with WWE until further notice and said that there was never a possibility of competing in another promotion:
“I’m staying with WWE for the foreseeable future. I wasn’t going to go anywhere if anybody out there was unsure and reading those internet rumours or whatever. We just in a place where I had to get things right for my family. I got with Nick Khan, I got with Triple H and we got things right for the future. Drew McIntyre was never going to go away from WWE and it was awesome that The Rock made that announcement. It’s the first time he has done that for anybody on the roster that Drew McIntyre is staying with WWE.”

UK Fans Anticipate Major Drew McIntyre Match In June
June 2024 will see WWE return to the UK as Clash at the Castle has been confirmed to take place in Glasgow, Scotland. With McIntyre locked into a massive new deal with WWE, many are expecting that much like in 2022 The Scottish Warrior will receive a monumental ovation from the UK fans.
