Drew McIntyre has re-signed with WWE.
Following months of speculation about McIntyre’s future, The Scottish Warrior has confirmed that he will be remaining with the company for the foreseeable future. McIntyre’s contract had been heavily discussed as it was common knowledge that it was close to expiring and there was a level of uncertainty as to whether or not the 3-time World Champion would remain.
The news was first broken on The Rock’s Instagram, accompanied by a video that sees McIntyre presented with a new sword. Rock provided a congratulatory message as a caption:

Additional details have been provided by Fightful Select, who have independently confirmed the news of McIntyre’s re-signing. It is reported that WWE reached out to McIntyre in March and a new deal was finalised recently. It is also stated that there was “a lot of back and forth” and that it is a “multi-year, big money deal.”

With McIntyre confirmed as staying with the company, UK fans will be delighted with the news as Clash at the Castle has been confirmed to take place in Glasgow, Scotland later in the year. Much like the 2022 event, McIntyre is expected to receive a thunderous ovation.
