Toni Storm Returns On AEW Dynamite

Toni Storm Returns On AEW Dynamite

Toni Storm is back in AEW, but not in the way that fans expected.

The main event of the Winter is Coming special on December 11th saw Mariah May defend the Women’s Championship against Mina Shirakawa following their altercation at Full Gear. May successfully defended the title, but what happened next was what had the fans talking.

As the Women’s Champion celebrated, Storm’s old music hit to the delight of the crowd. Storm walked out onto the stage in her original persona, not the Timeless character, to stare down May and close out the show. This was the first time that Storm has been seen on AEW TV since she lost to Mariah May at All In, dropping the title in the process to her former friend.

Storm and May were at one point close friends. However, following May winning the Owen Hart Cup, the friendship imploded in shocking fashion as May attacked Storm with a shoe to leave Storm bloody at the end of the show.

Is This The End Of “Timeless” Toni Storm

Reinventing herself as “Timeless” at the end of 2023, Storm became one of the most entertaining characters in all of wrestling thanks to her classic movie references and double entendres. Following the loss at All In, Storm did compete in Mexico and Japan but was unsuccessful in singles matches. Speaking in an interview following the losses, Storm stated that she was retiring and that fans would never see her again, hinting that this would be the end of her “Timeless” persona. While it remains unknown whether Storm will bring back her popular persona, fans will be hoping they have not seen the end of the “Timeless” one.
