Shelton Benjamin is the newest member of the AEW roster.
As seen on the 5th anniversary special episode of AEW Dynamite on October 2nd, recent signee MVP appeared backstage alongside Renee Paquette. MVP was at first interrupted by Prince Nana and was threatened by the manager before the camera panned over to reveal that Benjamin was also backstage. Declared by MVP to be his newest associate, Nana backed away from the challenge.
More details on Benjamin becoming All Elite have been reported via Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, who adds that Benjamin and Bobby Lashley have both signed contracts and that the deals were finalised “a number of weeks ago.” As many expected, with MVP and Benjamin now a part of the company, Lashley’s debut is imminent.
Shelton Benjamin Is Now All Elite
With 2 previous runs in WWE, Benjamin is a name that wrestling fans are very familiar with. First a part of the company from 2000 to 2010, Benjamin later returned in 2016 and was released for a second time in 2023. During his second run, Benjamin saw a resurgence thanks to his work in The Hurt Business alongside MVP, Lashley and Cedric Alexander. Despite being released in September 2023, Benjamin appeared sporadically on the independents but did not make a televised appearance until Dynamite.
