MVP is All Elite.
Making an unannounced appearance at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, the former United States Champion made his presence felt inside Arthur Ashe Stadium and received a great reaction from the New York crowd.
Announced ahead of time, Prince Nana appeared to give an update on Swerve Strickland, who has not been seen since All Out. Nana told Tony Schiavone that nothing can stop the most dangerous man in AEW but he is not cleared to compete. At this point, someone clearing their throat was heard one the microphone before MVP made his surprise entrance onto the stage. The former WWE star agreed with Nana that Strickland is phenomenal and acknowledged the former World Champion’s recent run with the title.
MVP then brought up Strickland’s failures and pointed the blame on Nana, stating that Strickland’s manager was more concerned with selling coffee and dancing than he was protecting Strickland. Ending his appearance, the former WWE star gave Nana his card to pass on to Strickland.
Just when we started to hear about Swerve Strickland, we got a surprise appearance and OFFER from MVP!

MVP Signs With AEW
Confirmation that the former United States Champion was now All Elite was reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. Following news breaking earlier in the year that Bobby Lashley had chosen not to re-sign with WWE, follow-up reports also added that Lashley’s manager was also not staying with the company. Confirming that he was no longer a part of the company and still looking to compete, MVP made a surprise appearance at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and challenged The Warmaster to a future contest, which Barnett accepted.
