Roman Reigns is in discussions to be part of a live-action movie based on a very successful franchise.
As reported by Matt Grobar of Deadline, Reigns, Jason Momoa and Noah Centineo are among the names in conversation for a live-action adaptation of Street Fighter, which is based on the legendary video game created by developer Capcom, who will co-produce the upcoming project.
One of the most well-known franchises in videogame history, Street Fighter first launched back in 1987. Six iterations of the main series have been released, along with many spin-offs that have been launched on arcade and on consoles. The game sees players fight in one-on-one battles that served as an inspiration for many titles in the future. A live action Street Fighter was released back in 1994, which saw Jean Claude Van Damme play the lead charatcer of Colonel William F. Guile.
Legendary pictures, who will produce the film, declined to comment when asked by Deadline.
Roman Reigns Has Previous Acting Experience
If Reigns does star in the upcoming live-action adaptation, this won’t be the first time the former WWE Champion has been on the big screen. On top of starring in various WWE movies, Reigns was also part of the cast for the Fast And Furious: Hobbs and Shaw spin-off.
Roman Reigns has been absent from TV since his loss at WrestleMania 41.
