The final four have been determined in the NJPW G1 Climax 2026 tournament, which is set to conclude this weekend.
The B Block concluded its matches on August 13 with Callum Newman and Yuya Uemura earning spots in the semifinals. Newman and Uemura picked up respective victories over HENARE and OSKAR to end their B Block campaigns with 12 points. British wrestler Gabe Kidd also finished on 12 points, but was eliminated as he lost to Newman and Uemura in the round-robin stages.
Newman will face Ryohei Oiwa in the final four, while Uemura will face Yota Tsuji. Tsuji and Oiwa advanced on August 12, which saw the A Block finish up its matches. There was also a 3-way tie in the A Block that featured Konosuke Takeshita. However, as Tsuji and Oiwa have both picked up victories over Takeshita in the round robin stage, the AEW star will be unable to win back to back tournaments.
The semifinals are set to take place on August 15 and the finals the following day. The winner of the tournament will earn a future opportunity at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The title is currently held by Yota Tsuji.
