A new venue looks to have been secured for WWE Crown Jewel 2026, which is set to take place in just over a week’s time.
Following the announcement that the Riyadh show would be moving venues, the event is now being listed for The ANB Arena, aka The Venue, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The venue is an indoor arena as opposed to the outdoor Riyadh Season Stadium, which was the originally planned location.
The arena, which will also be the host of the upcoming Canelo Alvarez vs. Christian Mbilli boxing match, can seat between six and eight thousand people depending on the setup. The increased level of security for an indoor venue as opposed to an outdoor one is believed to be the main reason for the change.
Ticket sales were previously halted and anyone who originally bought tickets for Crown Jewel would get them refunded. Tickets have yet to go on sale for the new venue at this time.
The announced line-up for the show is currently as follows:
- World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns vs. WWE Champion Sami Zayn – Singles match for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship
- Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan vs. WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green – Singles match for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship
Stream Wrestling
- Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton – Last Man Standing match
- Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed (c) vs. Je’Von Evans and Penta – Tag team match for the World Tag Team Championships
Analysis: WWE Crown Jewel Moves Venues
Even though there have been concerns for weeks about the show, mostly due to the attacks on Riyadh Airport on October 10-11, the show still looks set to take place in Saudi Arabia. While many are disappointed with the decision, few can be surprised given the amount of money at stake.
Although backup plans were rumoured and reported on, it was unlikely that WWE was going to avoid the show unless they were explicitly told they could not go to Saudi Arabia. Provided everything goes off without incident, it will be interesting to see what happens with WrestleMania next year as tensions in the Middle East continue.
