More matches have been added to the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 card, 2 of which will see both titles on the line in a winner takes all situation.
At a press conference on November 4, it was made official that IWGP World Heavyweight Champion would face IWGP Global Champion Yota Tsuji in a match where both titles would be at stake. It was also announced that NJPW Women’s Strong Champion Saya Kamitani would face IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri, once again with both titles on the line.
The two double title matches join Aaron Wolf vs. EVIL and Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement match as part of the Wrestle Kingdom card. Tanahashi announced in late 2024 that he would be embarking on a lengthy retirement tour that would culminate at Wrestle Kingdom. Tanahashi competed in his final UK match at AEW Forbidden Door back in August.
