Luke Menzies, best known for his time in WWE as Ridge Holland, has posted a positive update regarding his road to recovery.

On April 13, Menzies took to social media and shared a note from his doctor. The note confirms that the 37-year-old has now been cleared for contact sports, including professional wrestling:

I am writing regarding my patient, a 37-year-old professional wrestler who underwent a C5-7 cervical disc replacement (CDR) performed by Dr. Qureshi at Hospital for Special Surgery on November 24, 2025.

He has progressed very well post-operatively, with an excellent clinical recovery. His follow-up imaging demonstrates appropriate positioning and function of the implants without complication. At this time, he has returned to his baseline level of function and physical capacity.

Given his recovery, he is medically cleared to return to professional wrestling activities as well as contact sports.

PATIENT IS ABLE TO RETURN TO FULL CONTACT ACTIVITY WITH NO RESTRICTIONS IN REGARDS TO HIS LEFT FOOT.

Luke Menzies Cleared To Return To Wrestling

Menzies suffered the injury while wrestling against Moose on an episode of TNA Impact. Menzies was signed to WWE at that point, and competed on the TNA show as part of the ongoing relationship between both sides that sees talent work for either brand. Menzies suffered a Lisfranc injury in September, but was released by WWE in early November. Menzies was reportedly set to remain under contract until late November, which would have seen the deal expire, but the former WWE star was let go following statements made about the circumstances surrounding his exit.

Menzies also underwent neck surgery during his time away from the ring. It remains unknown where the former WWE star will compete next.
