Ridge Holland has been let go from his WWE contract earlier than planned.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Holland is no longer with the company as his deal has been terminated. The now former WWE star was originally scheduled to be with the promotion until mid November, but this is now no longer the case.
Holland, real name Luke Menzies, caught the attention of many fans when he called out WWE for letting his deal expire while he was still recovering from an injury that occurred at a TNA show. Holland added that he may struggle to pay his mortgage and that the whole situation had left him “totally f*cked” as a result. The report notes that word within WWE believes Menzies’ post was a major factor in the termination, as it was considered a breach of contract.
It is also noted that Menzies is no longer being paid by the company, but he would have been up until the contract expiration date.
Ridge Holland Released By WWE Under Unique Circumstances
Holland has been one of the rare few to have been let go by WWE while still recovering from an injury. While there have been some exceptions to the rule in the past, generally stars have been given time to fully heal before being released from their contract. It has been noted that this practice has become more prevalent since TKO bought out the pro wrestling company in 2023.
Holland is expected to remain out of action until mid-2026 if recovery goes to plan.
