John Cena made another appearance at Money in the Bank.
One year on from his surprise appearance in London, the 16-time World Champion made a shock appearance in Toronto after being introduced by host and Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. Getting right down to business, Cena announced his retirement from WWE is coming fast, much to the shock of the Canadian crowd. Cena continued, explaining what Canada and the Canadian fans mean to him and thanked them for always showing up no matter if the product was hot or cold.
Moving onto the subject of why the retirement took place at Money in the Bank, Cena stated that the farewell did not end there and that he would make subsequent appearances, including the first Raw on Netflix and that WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will be the final one that he competes in. The crowd led a “Thank you Cena” match as Cena ended his passionate promo.

One of the biggest stars in WWE history, Cena made his debut back in 2002 on SmackDown and won his first WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21 in 2005. From there, Cena would continue his meteoric rise which included 16 World Championships, countless WrestleMania main events and just about every accolade there is to achieve in WWE. From there, Cena would make the successful transition to Hollywood and has since become one of the most successful wrestlers turned actors in history.
