Joe Hendry Among Rumoured WWE Main Roster Call-Ups

Former NXT Champion Joe Hendry is among the stars rumoured to be moving to the main roster soon.

As reported by Bodyslam, Hendry, Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Jacy Jayne are the 4 names currently being discussed to be leaving the developmental brand soon. Hendry and Jayne bth lost their respective Men’s and Women’s NXT Championships at Stand & Deliver, and Ruca is set to face Zaria in a last woman standing at week 2 of the NXT Revenge special, likely bringing their rivalry to an end. Page unsuccessfully challenged new champion Tony D’Angelo on week 1 of NXT Revenge.

While not a rule set in stone, stars from NXT have found themselves moved to Raw or SmackDown shortly before or after WrestleMania, as this is typically the point where a lot of storylines end and it is a logical place for them to debut.

Joe Hendry Potentially Set For Main Roster Move Following Breakout 12 Months

First showing up on NXT as part of the talent exchanges between WWE and TNA, Hendry had his first match on the main roster as a surprise entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble. Later that year, Hendry was also revealed to be Randy Orton’s surprise opponent at WrestleMania 41, where he lost to The Viper while reigning as NXT Champion. From there, Hendry went on to officially sign with WWE in late 2025 and held the NXT Championship in early 2026 after Oba Femi vacated the title to move to the main roster.

Ruca was previously rumoured for a main roster move following her win against Bayley at the December 2025 Saturday Night’s Main Event special, which was where John Cena competed in his final match.

Jacy Jayne defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace at Evolution 2025, and was a participant in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

Of the 4 listed names, Page is the only one who has not had a match on a main roster show.
