HUlk Hogan's Widow Denies Ric Flair Claim Regaridng WWE Legend's Cause Of Death

Hulk Hogan’s widow Sky has issued a statement after Ric Flair made claims about what caused the WWE Hall of Famer to pass away.

Hogan passed away on July 24 at the age of 71 following rumours that his health had deteriorated, which those close to the wrestling icon denied in the days leading up to his death. The following week, Hogan’s cause of death was revealed to be a heart attack.

Flair recently appeared on the DOUBL3 COVERAGE podcast, and claimed that Hogan needed to use “unorthodox measures” to deal with pain, as doctors had allegedly stopped prescribing him medication:

“I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs… His body just said, ‘You know what? Bingo. I can’t do it anymore.'”

Following Flair’s comments, TMZ spoke to Sky about the claim, to which Hogan’s widow stated “That didn’t happen at all.” Sky also said that Flair did not speak to Hogan the day before his death, and that he “had to have been either misinformed or misunderstood.” Clarfying the misinformation, Sky stated that “the only changes to Hogan’s medication came following his neck procedure to ensure whatever he was taking did not impact his lungs.”

The article also notes that there is no ill will towards Flair, but the family wanted to make it clear that The Nature Boy was incorrect with his comments.

Ric Flair Responds To Hulk Hogan’s Widow

Following the TMZ article being published, Flair took to social media to issue a response, noting that he had known Hogan for decades and that he wanted to move past the disagreement:

Okay Sky! I Got Bad Information According To You. I Should Have Never Mentioned It. I Have Known Hogan Since 1979. Let’s Just Move Past This And Concentrate On His Legacy. Period, End Of Story. Let’s PRESERVE HIS LEGACY Rather Than Dwell On Any Negative Energy. I Repeat- Hulkamania Forever!
