The final of the tournament to determine who will face John Cena in his retirement match has been set.
On the December 1 Raw, LA Knight and Gunther each won their respective matches to get one step closer to being Cena’s final opponent. Knight defeated Jey Uso in the opening match of the show, and Gunther defeated Solo Sikoa later in the night to advance.
Knight caught Uso with a surprise roll-up to win his match, causing a frustrated Uso to attack the Prime display after the match, and refused to be interviewed after his loss. Sikoa attempted to use the MFTs to try and get an advantage on Gunther, but The Ring General was able to overcome the odds and hit a powerbomb to win the match.
When Will The John Cena Tournament Conclude?
The final match in The Last Time is Now Tournament will take place on the December 5 edition of SmackDown. Whoever emerges the victor will take on the 17-time World Champion in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. The show will take place in Washington D.C., and there have been rumours that US President Donald Trump could be one of the guests in attendance for the show.
Cena was last in action at Survivor Series, where he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Dominik Mysterio thanks to interference from The Judgment Day, which included a returning Liv Morgan.
