Hulk Hogan Cause Of Death Revealed

The official cause of death of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has been determined.

The update was first reported by Page Six on July 31, who revealed that the former World Champion “died from acute myocardial infarction — commonly known as a heart attack.” The report also adds that Hogan had atrial fibrillation (AFib) along with a history of leukaemia, but it is not believed that Hogan ever battled cancer.

A spokesperson also told the outlet that Hogan will be cremated, but a date has not been determined at the time of writing:

“I am not aware when Mr. Bollea will be cremated, only that we received a request for cremation approval.”

News broke on July 24 that Hulk Hogan passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida at the age of 71. The news was a shock to many wrestling fans as the former pro wrestler and actor was reportedly in good health, according to many close to him, including longtime friend and fellow Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart.

Shortly after news broke that Hogan had passed away, social media was inundated with tributes from the biggest names in pro wrestling and beyond, including Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone and US President Donald Trump, who was in attendance at multiple WrestleManias Hogan competed at. Additionally, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon issued a statement regarding Hogan’s passing and the legacy that he has left behind.

Tributes continued over the next week, with WWE honouring the late legend on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, along with TNA and AEW also acknowledging the death of Hogan.
