Two WWE stars’ time as a tag team has come to an end following an update on Raw.
During the July 21 broadcast of the show, Grayson Waller appeared in a backstage segment with The New Day, attempting to offer his services to the duo. Waller stated in the segment that his now former tag team partner Austin Theory was injured.
In an address on social media later that night, Waller mocked Theory and his fans while also taking credit for the success of the tag team and reminding the fand that beofre A-Town Down Under, Theory was being buried on Raw by John Cena.
No further details have been provided on the nature of Theory’s injury or how long the former United States Champion is expected to be out of action for. Theory last competed on WWE TV on the July 14 edition of Main Event, losing to El Grande Americano.
WWE Tag Team A-Town Down Under Officially Split Up
Theory and Waller first joined up in late 2023 on SmackDown. They had one reign with the Tag Team Championships after being successful in the multi-team ladder match at WrestleMania 40. Shortly afterwards, the titles were rebranded from the SmackDown Tag Team Championships to the WWE Tag Team Championships, ending the brand-specific titles. Dissension between the duo has been previously teased for months, but this is the first time that the break-up had been acknowledged.
