A title match and more have been made official for the July 18 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
The first matches were announced during the July 3 edition of WWE SmackDown. First, Danhausen announced that he would be facing JD McDonagh on the next special. The Judgment Day have had their issues with Danhausen over the past few weeks. Dominik Mysterio and McDonagh gave Danhausen money to curse Oba Femi, but Danhausen refused to do so and still took their money. McDonagh was also electrocuted following a previous visit, and The Judgment Day trashed Danhausen’s lab.
Also announced for the show, Brie Bella and Paige will defend their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Fatal Influence. On SmackDown, Lainey Reid defeated Brie Bella, setting up the future title match.
The next WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will emanate from the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden in New York. With Danhausen having a connection to the New York Knicks following the team’s historic victory, it is expected that this will be referenced on the show.
July 18 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Line-Up:
- Paige & Brie Bella (c) vs. Fatal Influence – Tag team match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships
- Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh
