Chris Jericho Loses FTW Championship At AEW All In

Chris Jericho has seen his time as FTW Champion come to an end.

After 121 days, Chris Jericho has seen his time as FTW Champion come to an end.

Taking place at All In inside Wembley Stadium, Jericho lost the FTW Championship to Hook in a match that saw Hook be unable to challenge for the gold again if he lost. Once again providing the soundtrack to his entrance, Jericho performed his entrance live with Fozzy on his way to the ring in front of more than 50,000 fans.

The match itself saw Big Bill and Bryan Keith interfere from the opening bell as there were no disqualifications in the FTW Rules match, which Hook managed to briefly dispatch. Paying homage to the location, cricket balls and a bat featured among the weapons.

The closing moments of the match saw Big Bill neutralised by being driven through a barbed wire board, Keith taken out by Taz and Hook locking in the Redrum to win the match via submission.

The victory marks Hook’s third reign with the title after losing the championship to Jericho at the Dynasty pay-per-view. At All In 2023, Hook defeated Jack Perry on the pre-show to begin his second reign.

Chris Jericho Not Retiring Anytime Soon

Currently in his Learning Tree era, Jericho took inspiration for the oblivious veteran gimmick after he was met with multiple chants from the fans calling for him to retire as an in-ring competitor. Choosing to ignore the wishes of the fans, Chris Jericho stated in a recent interview why he will not be retiring in the near future and why he has no intentions of going on a retirement tour.
