WWE could join forces with Disney in 2027 to host a number of collaborative events.
The pro wrestling company and entertainment juggernaut have been in business together for over a year following the media rights deal with ESPN, which is owned by the Disney corporation. The deal sees WWE Premium Live Events broadcast on ESPN, along with various stars appearing as guests on ESPN shows. However, it appears that the partnership may expand further next year:
Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Conference, TKO COO Mark Shapiro elaborated on a potential collaboration. Shapiro noted that with pro wrestling having a more family-oriented audience compared to the UFC, there could be some crossover with Disney fans:
“Remember, WWE is a different audience than the UFC, and when it comes to going after families, that’s our audience, and I think advertisers are starting to see that. Frankly, I’m excited for 2027 because we’re working with The Walt Disney Company on some special events around Disney and WWE and bringing those two audiences together since, of course, what do they have in common? Family.”

At the time of writing, there has been no indication of what these “special events” may be or when they would take place. Going by the partnership with Netflix, which is the new home of Raw and the base for international fans, additional content has been made by both parties, including the docuseries WWE: Unreal, and stars have appeared at Netflix-branded sports events.
