Chelsea Green is remaining hopeful that one day the popular reality TV series Total Divas will get a reboot, and has also listed which current WWE stars she would love to be a part of the revival.
Running for a total of 9 seasons, Total Divas gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the stars of WWE’s women’s division. The reality TV series, which ran from 2013 to 2019, was a big hit with fans and is also believed to be responsible for a surge in WWE popularity during that period. Additionally, Nikki and Brie Bella also got their own spinoff show Total Bellas, which ran for 6 seasons from 2016 to 2021.
Not a part of the original series, Green would love to see a revival and to be one of the cast members. While appearing on The Lightweights podcast, the first-ever Women’s United States Champion spoke about the lasting legacy of the show and how she is confident that there will be a revival:
“Joe, every day. Every minute of every hour of every day I think about Total Divas. The demand is there and I get told that all the time. I’ve also been told by numerous different people in WWE and outside of WWE and Hollywood that they’ve been pushing for it for years. I think it’ll happen whether it’s called Total Divas or not I think it’ll come back in one way or another because how could it not? Truly, Total Divas is what got 75 percent of the females in NXT there. It attracted those women to wrestling.”
Green also added that when she speaks to her friends, they want to know who from the show she is working with, ading that she would love her own version of The Bella Army:
“When I talk to a regular girly from Canada, one of the girls I went to high school with, one of my best friends, they know wrestling through knowing Natty and the Bellas through Total Divas. Like, they don’t care about winning or losing, they just want to know who I work with that was on Total Divas and I get it, I was there.”
“I think my goal is to always attract women to wrestling and it’s not necessarily because like I need you to love wrestling, I just loved the fan base that surrounded Total Divas because I was in it, I was a fangirl. That’s why I am obsessed with the Bellas. And look at them, their following is amazing. They have a cult following of women. That’s what I want. F— the boys, I want the girlies and the gays to follow me.”
Chelsea Green Picks Her Dream Total Divas Line-Up
With an influx of talent since Total Divas ended, fans have theorised who would be the most entertaining WWE stars on the show. When asked for her dream line-up, Green selected Maxxine Dupri, Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, Natalya, Naomi and possibly Bianca Belair. Jax, Natalya and Naomi were all a part of the original series.
