Booker T Wants To Make Major Change To WWE Evolution 2025

Booker T Wants To Make Major Change To WWE Evolution 2025

Booker T is preparing for the return of the WWE Evolution Premium Live Event and has made an interesting pitch for when the show comes.

Fans of women’s wrestling were delighted when it was finally confirmed that the all-women’s show would be making its return on July 13th. As there has been a 7-year absence since the inaugural show in 2018, the landscape of the women’s division has changed drastically since the first show. Along with the rise of top stars such as Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton and Rhea Ripley, there has also been an influx of talent in NXT and the ongoing relationship with TNA, which also has many talented performers.

With standard Premium Live Events only having 5 matches, a move that has remained divisive among fans given the amount of non-wrestling on the wrestling shows, some fans have expressed concerns that not everyone will get their moment on the show despite the fact that it is an all-women’s event.

Booker T Wants To See 2-Night WWE Evolution Event

Hoping there will be as many opportunities as possible at Evolution, Booker T made the pitch on his Hall of Fame podcast to make the show a 2-night event:

“It might have to be a two-night event because we got that much talent, the roster’s stacked. I mean, it’s got to be at least 20 matches,” Booker T said. “I’m loving it, you know. I mean, like you said, we’ve been asking for this for a long time. I think the ladies deserve this.”

Continuing, the NXT announcer also spoke about how stacked the women’s division is right now and how they deserve their moment to shine:

“I don’t think it’s taken away from the shine from the guys to let the ladies go out there and have that one night only,” he stated. “I think it’s only fitting for the talent that we have on that roster, just to show how big the women’s division really is, from a star power perspective, as far as you know, how they could go out there and draw the house just like everybody else… It’s not a contest between Raw and SmackDown, it’s a contest between the men and women.”

With the women’s division notably overlooked in WWE over the years, most notably in the early days of the Saudi Arabia shows, where they were not allowed to compete, Evolution 2018 marked a major milestone for the company.

At the time of writing, only one match has been officially announced for WWE Evolution 2025.
